Adam is a highly skilled financial professional with a unique background in technology implementation and a deep understanding of long-term financial strategies. As the founder and President of Primetrics, he acts as a CFO and CIO advisor to small and mid-sized companies, helping them to grow their businesses by establishing automation and business process optimization tools. This approach frees up internal resources to focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, positioning companies to scale profitability and realize higher returns on the same volume of sales.

Adam's expertise is in high demand, and he has assisted a wide variety of companies throughout his career. For example, he has helped cryptocurrency-based businesses account for their transactions and provide much-needed tax compliance and financial reporting capabilities. He has also advised pet product companies on how to capitalize on turning raw materials from Montana's agri-businesses into high-value-added pet products. Additionally, Adam has synthesized operational data from a renewable energy company to provide a big-picture road map to profitably operate in the next era of sustainable energy.

In addition to his work with Primetrics, Adam is also a business mentor for the Portland Incubator Experiment (PIE) and Built Oregon. Both organizations provide a network of peers and guidance to company founders seeking connections, advice, and guidance in running their businesses. This is a testament to Adam's natural leadership abilities and his ability to mentor accounting professionals and staff within his client companies.

Adam's career has been marked by a steady progression of roles and responsibilities, from audit and compliance to accounting and information technology. Prior to founding Primetrics, he worked for Northwest Natural for over 8 years, rising to the Director of Internal Audit Services. In that role, he was responsible for operational and financial compliance and internal control activities. Before that, Adam's first foray into entrepreneurship was as a joint venture owner of Quantec LLC, a firm which was sold to the Cadmus Group. His career began with a solid accounting foundation, working as a Senior Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers for four years, gaining experience in cybersecurity and as a public company auditor.

Adam is a well-educated professional, holding a Masters of Professional Accountancy (1999) from The University of Montana, an Executive Certificate (2011) from Willamette University, and a BA in Economics (1998) from the University of Montana. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Oregon (issued 2001) and holds a Blockchain Fundamentals for Accounting and Finance Professionals Certificate (issued 2021) from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA).

Adam is a dedicated member of his local community, serving as a Member of the Supervisory Board for the Holy Redeemer Parish – North Portland, and as a Board Member for In My Backyard (Simone Weil Catholic Worker House), an organization working to alleviate poverty.

When he is not focused on numbers and growing businesses, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, bike racing, and hiking/camping in the greater northwest. With his unique background, expertise and passion for mentoring, Adam continues to provide valuable guidance to companies and entrepreneurs, helping them to achieve their goals and realize their full potential.
