Abby Koch is the kind of accountant everyone wishes they had. With a natural talent for solving financial puzzles and a grounded approach to even the trickiest challenges, she helps businesses feel confident and in control of their numbers. Born with a knack for logic – and a little influence from her CPA dad – Abby’s path to accounting was as natural as it was intentional. Beyond the spreadsheets, her focus on problem-solving and efficiency makes her a trusted ally for clients tackling the world of finance.
At Primetrics, she plays an essential role in managing everything from accounts payable and receivable to cryptocurrency accounting. Whether it’s payroll, bank reconciliations, or sorting through sales tax, Abby’s methodical approach ensures no detail is left unchecked. She’s not just about finding numbers; she’s about understanding them, interpreting them, and making them work for your business.
The world of accounting first opened its doors to her during childhood when she would help at her father’s CPA business. From there, her path was full of fascinating detours that added depth to her expertise. She collaborated on business plans for a nonprofit assisting human trafficking survivors, interned during tax season with a small accounting firm, and even extended her creativity to commissioned artwork for a nonprofit initiative.
Graduating from Western Oregon University with a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis on accounting and legal studies, she was recognized as the Top Accounting Student and Valedictorian of her division in 2022. She expanded her knowledge by pursuing a master’s degree in accounting at Western Governors University.

- One of her hidden talents is being comfortable speaking on camera, a rare gift in a profession populated by mostly introverts.

Outside the office, Abby lets her creativity shine. From traditional drawing to digital art, her anime-inspired creations have even made their way onto greeting cards carried in local shops. When she’s not sketching galaxies or manga-style characters, she’s challenging herself (and others) to a game on Chess.com or enjoying an afternoon of beach volleyball. Abby also devotes her time to her church, North Coast Family Fellowship, managing social media and supporting children’s ministry programs.
